PART IV — A NEW ERA OF DIVINE PROVENANCE

The record is established; the question now is what it changes. These final chapters follow signature provenance outward into culture: what happens to Benjamin's aura when uniqueness moves from space into time, what ownership becomes when it is a position in a history rather than possession of a thing, and what the artist, the collector, and the record itself must survive for any of this to matter in fifty years. This part is where the book earns its title — or fails to. Divine provenance was never a claim about technology. It is an aspiration about time, and time is where I intend to leave it.
